Sand at Stewart Beach

Wintertime for Galveston. Above: Waves of sand at Stewart Beach look pristine in the absence of a throng of tourists. Below: Also at Stewart Beach, the ruins of the Hut Club, a rock and roll bar that thrived in the 70's and 80's. It used to be the first thing you would see when Interstate 45 from Houston reached the beach. Now the first thing you see is a McDonalds. Both pictures shot on February 28, 2010, using Kodachrome 64 slide film.
